G|Bomb Carbon feather

V2 - we have added material to meet the GBomb reliability standards and done a lot more testing. This Carbon Feather is the ultralight premium member of our Longboard composite series. At 168 grams this is the lightest adustable bracket.

Designed for hangers around 150mm, the Carbon Feather Longboard bracket has 35mm of drop combined with 30 degrees of angle adjust (15 degrees of dewedge and up to 15 degrees of wedge). The carbon fiber composite material is stronger in tension than the aluminum alloy used most brackets, yet it has a density of less than half of aluminum. At 168 grams the Carbon Feather Frame is an about 50% lighter than our aluminum DD series, and about 30% lighter than the Glass Drop Longboard. The molding process allows us to strengthen the structure by putting the material where traditional metal working can't. The composite design positions the truck 11mm closer to the deck than the aluminum DD series to maximize pumping leverage, but still permits big wheels.

We have minimized the need for shock pads by integrating robust and compliant O-rings to protect the bracket and deck interface. With the addition of 2mm of riser at the truck, the composite series brackets are Paris truck compatible. A recess down the center of the deck interface accommodates heavy concave platforms. We have our machinist CNC away extra material from the molding process that is not needed due to the high strength of the carbon fiber composite.
